(across from the Adult Detention Center).

Regional Fire Command AreasCareer field personnel include three Battalion Chiefs, nine Station Lieutenants, and three Shift Lieutenants. THey work a 48/96 schedule and cover three Battlaions of A, B, C. The Lieutenants were first were first promoted in 2008 and bring a consistent level of leadership, supervision and safety to the career staff operating out of the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Regional Stations. This is regarded as a major accomplishment for the Department. The 80 career firefighters are cross-trained/dual role employees. They serve as firefighters as well as Emergency Medical Technicians providing services through various levels of care from Advanced Level EMT-Paramedics and EMT-Intermediates to Basic Level EMT-Basics. Lieutenants and firefighters are represented by the Santa Fe County Firefighters Association, Local 4366 of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF). The members of IAFF Local 4366 operate under a collective bargaining agreement that outlines the terms and conditions of employment. The ranks above Battalion Chief are not part of collective bargaining and operate under the County Emoloyee Handbook Rules and Regulations. Northen Regional Station is located out of Pojoaque Main Station and they cover the Fire Districts of Chimayo, La Puebla, Pojoaque and Tesuque. Southern Regional Station is located out of Edgewwod Main Station and they cover the Fire Districts of Edgewood, Madrid and Stanley. Eastern Regional Station is located onof Hondo Main Station and they cover the FIre DIstricts of Eldorado, Hondo, Glorieta Pass and Galisteo. Western Regional Station is located at Aqua Frie Main Sttaion and they cover the FIre Districts of Agua Fria, La Cienega, Madrid and Turquoise Trial.
